Goodwill/Yard Sale Finds

I have a love for both roses and roosters. I found these little rooster salt and pepper shakers at goodwill for a mere 1.91. This is my update for my blog this weekend. Due to working full time I don't have time during the week to update!! I want to thank my new followers and all who visit my blog. I love the blogging world. I spend several hours looking at other bloggers beautiful blogs. say that 3 times real......fast. LOL
Here is an up close view of the sugar bowl.. You gotta love thos delicate pink roses.
I just love this creamer and sugar set. They were also in that box of 4.00 dishes. The bottoms are a mark that states they are made in Germany.
Full View of the Casserole dish.

Up close view of a casserole dish that was in that same box of dishes for 4.00.

Another view of the soup toureen.
I think this soup toureen was done by a person who did ceramics. It looks homemade. But I love it all the same!! I found it at Goodwill for 4.99.
Another view of the dome and plate.
I found the plate in a set of dishes at a yard sale. A set of about 27 plates and cups and saucers and salad and desert plates all for $4.00.
The little dome I placed on top of the plate was a GoodWill find for 2.92 , it had the little pink bow attached. I added the silk rose and pearls that I already had on hand.

I also found at the Dollar Tree, these beautiful rose note cards!! I rarely shop the Dollar Tree, but with finds like these, I just may have to go more often.
I also found this pink satin bunnie in the Easter decorations at the Dollar Tree. I thought he was precious.
I found pink rose petals at the Dollar Tree. Does anyone have any idea how I can use these?? I could not resist because they are..........pink rose petals.
Another little pillow I made, I love to use earrings and other jewelry on my pillows. The little heart ornament came from Michaels. I have been trying to use up some of my craft materials because I am such a junk collector LOL.

I have several other items to post at a later time. But after the long drive from Georgia I am too tired to post them now.
I made this cute little velvet pillow from a place mat. This was a scrap of a bigger peice of the velvet. I am going to make another larger pillow. The little heart was an ornament I purchased at AC Moore. And I always have a collection of satin roses on hand.
Another GW find!! A pretty little heart clock, I love that it has pink hands!
I am so excited!! I found a pink rolling pin!! Now I have to do some baking!!
My son and his new bride!! Isn't she beautiful!! I love the dress!!
My handsome military son!!

Have been outta town.

I made a trip to AC Moore today and just as I entered the building I spied the Valentine deocrations. This little pink pearl heart just had to come home with me.
This little pitcher shows its age. But the purple flowers are so beautiful!!
I continue my love for delicate pink roses!!
Uh oh! This is the green rose bowl. But don't you just love the little ivory saucer below!!

Isn't this little green rose dish just the most delicate pretty!
I love this violet teacup and saucer. Another good find at Goodwill!!

I have been doing a few projects since the weather has been so cold here in Myrtle Beach. Above is a floral arrangement I did. I bought the metal piece at Goodwill for 1.00 and the other florals I had. The bird was a Christmas ornament from JC Pennies that I purchased after Christmas.

This is all for today. I hope all has had a wonderful New Year so far. Thanks to the two followers I have, I look forward to seeing you again!!

My House

This a better view of the birds I found at Goodwill.

This is a picture of my dining room table after Christmas. The soup toureen (spelling is a ?) is another good will find for 8.00 . Also the two candle stands were 2.00. The candles are left over from Christamas. The two little birdies are Goodwill finds as well for 2.00. I embroidered the table scarf with red rose and gold roses. I have the Old Country Rose China from Royal Daulton so the scarf matches them perfectly.

This is the back of the vest. Not bad for a beginner eh? I used Sue Box designs to embroider with my machine.

I bought this vest at Goodwill for 3.00. It was a plain brown sweade like, I embroidered the designs on the vest. This is the front of the vest.
I have a Husqvarna Rose embroidery machine. I love embroidery on items, I am still developing my skills. This is a picture of a pillow case I embroidered and sewed lace at the bottom. I think it turned out nice.

I bought the pie stand at a yard sale for 5.00, I changed the plates and put salad bowes. They have a beautiful rose pattern in the center of the bowl. I also added the silk roses. Some one told me its in bad taste to use silk flowers in your house. But I can't resist silk roses.
This is a picture of the decorations on my countertop. My living room is burgandy and green and some red accents. I am not real happy with the picture, I put a peice of foam board up to block out the coffee pot behind the counter. It didn't work too well.
Here is another view of the lamp. I love the delicate pink rose. Pink is my favorite color. The frame is another Goodwill find for .99 . It was a silver color and I painted it a cream. The print in the frame came from a box a mug set came in, I cut the rose pictures in an oval to fit the frame. I love to recycle and reuse. The picture was gift within a gift.

This is a picture of what I have on my kitchen table. My husband and I rarely use the table since it just the two of us. We eat on small folding tables in front of the television.
The lamp I purchased at Goodwill for a whole 3. 98. It was half price that day.
I have then setting on my pine cupboard in my kitchen. I especially love the bunnie with the blue ribbon.

I found this floral teapot at a yard sale for 50 cents. It is missing the top, but makes a great vase for displaying some silk roses. I love bunnies, I display them all year round.

These are pictures of the decorations in my house.
