Yard Sale Haul!!

Good Afternoon my blogger friends!! Its beginning to look like fall here, but it is still very warm. I miss the colors of the Kentucky Falls! I went to several yard sales this weekend. I thought I would share my finds. I will have to pack some of my dishes away until we move but that's okay. I should not be buying stuff, but I can't stand just sitting around waiting. So I purge as I buy and pack away as well. So enjoy browsing my blog. And if your not a follower, I would be glad to have you as a follower!

This was my best find of the weekend. I love the roses on this plate. The pale pink one and the light creams and tans. It is a Royal Munich. I paid one dollar!

This is the markings on the back of the Rose Plate.

This plate was a dollar. I absolutely love the colors of the pears. The brown tones and the green.

I have several pieces already of this cornflower blue corning ware. I found these this weekend. All three pieces was 3.00. I can't wait to get to my new home, if I ever do to orgainize all my dishes.

This green purse was 5.00. I just love the color. It is a Nicole Lee. I researched it on the internet and its original price was about 57.00. I think I got a bargain!!

I bought this purse for 3.00. I love it! It has so much room for all my junk! LOL

This basket and four tassels and the earrings were 2.00 for all. The basket has a liner. It's in the laundry right now waiting to be laundered.

This is a close up of the earrings. They have rhinestones with little black pearls. The lady had 20.00 marked on them.

I ended up getting this baggie of buttons. The lady was asking 2.00 but she let me have them for a dollar.

Look at all these beautiful vintage books. They are filled with poetry and inspirational sayings. I think their covers are just so beautiful. A lady had a small box with all sorts of stuff, The box was marked free, so I took it. It had a pretty little salt shaker that I will use in crafts and some other odds and ends that I threw away. But these books were awesome!!

Yard Sale Haul!

Good Evening blogger friends!! Yep its Sunday and I have the blues. Yes, therapist can be blue too. I love my job but I love my home more. I would so love to be able to stay home and clean and play and thrift.
I am struggling with impatience as well. I so want this house to sell so we can start living a normal life again.!! We have to keep things so staged, that it does not feel like home.
I thought I would share this weekends yard sale finds. I did not find much, but I did like what I manage to get. So enjoy!

I just love this little silver platter. It needs some TLC. I will do that after we move. I just love the little roses on the ends of the platter.

This silver plated spoon ( at least I think its silver plated) says Merry Christmas. It was a 1.00.

This watch my daughter in law gave me. She bought it at Cracker Barrell. I just love it!! But my son said Mom we got it with large numbers on it so you could see it.!! Boy do I feel ancient!! LOL

This pink tassel is so pretty I think. 50 cents!

These were all in the paisley pink bag below all of that for a buck. Can't beat that with a stick. Its Avon Skin so Soft.

I found this at a yard sale for a dollar. The paisley pink caught my eye. The stuff in bag was an added bargain!!

I bought these Christmas stay at home socks for 50 cents. My feet say cold winter and summer so I always have socks on my feet in the house. Of course I will not wear these until Christmas time!!

Major Good Will Haul/ Show and Tell Friday

Good Evening Bloggers! I am participating in Cindy's Show and Tell Friday! Go over and visit her at My Romantic Home!!
I thought I would share with you my Good Will Haul. The total of the items below all together was 48.oo and some change. That is the most I have spent at Good Will in a while. I will have to do major purging in my home to justify all this,LOL. We are trying to purge for the move if it ever happens!!

These milk glass pieces were my finds of the day. Especially the covered dish. I love the grape pattern on them.

I thought these little shakers were so elegant. They are marked 7561 on the bottoms.

I haven't completely given up pink!!

I love the fall colors on this little china cup!

This little hurricane lamp is so pretty. I love the blue roses!

I found these two weight watchers cook books. I thought they might motivate me to lose weight. The weight watchers diet worked for me before. I saw how beautiful Cindy at My Romantic Home is since she lost her weight (she was beautiful before. So she has motivated me to want try again. I will not be as beautiful as Cindy, but I can at least be skinny. The little bowl is one of my milk glass finds!!

I love boxes. I especially loved this christmas box!!

These paper mieche (don't know how to spell) will not be the same when I get done with them. I will post the final product once I get them done. It will have to be after we sell the house.......if we ever get it sold. Lots of lookers , but no takers. Our house is in pristine condition, go figure.

Vintage hats are another weakness of mine. This purple and white one had to come home with me. It needs some work, does anyone know how to get a fold out of a velvet bow.

I love blue roses. This sheet is so pretty. I proably will not use it as a sheet. I will make something or use it some other way.

I really am not into animal prints all that much. But the color of this was so beautiful and I just love the ruffles. It's a Koret Brand. I think Kohl's carries that brand. I really don't know.

I have found my self the past three months being drawn to earth tones, both in dress and decorating. This shirt is a St.John's Bay, Sears Brand.

I just love this gown. It is so dainty. It is a Shadowline Brand. Another store in the Mall that specializes in lingerie. I love the aqua color and the lace on the bust area. I know, what the heck am I doing showing my nighties on the world wide net!!

Health Update/ Thrifty Food Processor

Good Evening Bloggers!!
I feel so blessed. I got really good news about the test results of the colonoscopy!
The doctor says I am cancer free! I do not have to have another test for two years. It had been once a year!! I am so thankful for all the prayers that went out for me.

I wanted to share with you what a great thrifty buy my husband and I got on a brand new Kenmore Elite food processor. We bought the one on display. The original price was 175.00 and some change. When the cashier rang it up it was only 122.00 and some change because it was a display model. We had received a 70.00 gift card from Sears when we bought our new refrigerator about a month ago. So we applied that to the cost. Another big surprise the cashier told us we were now eligible for a 20.00 gift card. With all the discounts the Food processor cost only 30.00. Now I cannot express how excited I am about this. I know , I know its only a food processor. But little things excite me, especially when we get a great bargain!! So here are the photos of this bad boy.

This food processor is really huge and very heavy. I am so happy about having this , it will really help me at holiday times.

I thought I would give you up close photo of the stainless steel part of the appliance.

I love that it came with a storage container to store the blades. My last food processor I spent half my time chasing down where I put the blades. This will keep all the parts organized.
