YARD SALE FINDS!!

Good Evening Friends!
It is really hot in Myrtle Beach!! It is playing havoc with my breathing. I have COPD and it makes it really difficult for me to breath! I can't go out into the heat at all or I faint , or almost.

I thought I would share this week ends yard sale finds! I don't if anyone else has been having this problem. But since the economy has been so bad, it has been difficult to find any really good bargains!! The past two week ends have been kind of blah for me for yard sale finds!





A Christmas Sled!


I love this little sled. I think it will look really pretty in a Christmas Vignette this Christmas!








A Tin with Bling!

I buy bling to use in my projects!! I think it gives the project a little sparkle!








A frog tape dispenser!

Frogs have been coming into my life lately! hmmmmm could this be a sign of something to come.....?? or just a fluke........LOL








4th of July Decoration

I plan to utilize this decoration in a different way. I just love the glittered stars!







A green velvet box.

I like to buy boxes to use to wrap gifts in at Christmas. The more interesting the box it is like another gift! At least that's what I think.

    I think you got some great finds, I love to pick up bling for projects too. It is so hot here in Orlando, that summer is pretty slim pickings for garage sales her too

    Susan, I love your little froggie. It is hilarious how his tongue is the tape dispenser! The sales are just hit or miss for me. I was lucky last week. But it has just been so hot, I doubt I'll even go out this week. Too busy, too. Of course, it rains almost everyday.... it's pouring buckets right now! So probably not too many sales will open on Thursday- which is the sale day for us here. Weird! :-) Sue

    Hi Susan,
    What great finds you have to share once again. The little sled has a design that I painted also in art classes nearly 25 years ago. It is a Pat Olsen design and from around 1986/87. It will be adorable this Christmas. Gotta love that bling, I too look for it everywhere.
    The box is great too and I can see your creative touch on it for a special gift.

    Stay cool and take care of your COPD. It is very hot here too and we had terrific hail storms last night with 70-90 mile an hour winds. Thankfully all our windows are still in tack.

    Your cute little sled gives me cool thoughts. Hubby was doing some painting at our condo in Myrtle this week and he came home yesterday complaining about the heat. It's hot here in Spartanburg as well. We did get a thunderstorm this evening that cooled it down some.

Yes, I too love Sunflowers and haven't been really successful growing them in my own Garden, those were near a fav Shop & just looked so picture perfect against that rustic fence, they must have been over 7 feet tall!

    Yes, I too am finding that pickin's are getting slimmer as the economy plunges... either people are holding onto their stuff... or everyone is frugally out buying gently used Treasures now rather than purchasing new in order to stretch the budget further? I am happy to see peeps get back down to the basics and priorities that truly matter though... sometimes tougher times bring out a strength, Faith and camaraderie in people that remains dormant during times of prosperity and self-indulgence. So this cloud has a Silver Lining in many ways as well.

    So glad to have found your blog. I love Christmas and always tempted to pick up items for the season at yard sales this time of year. I am gonna have to clean house soon of some. But it's such a happy time - I can't resist.
    My husband is into frogs and they seem to seek him out. Sill sitters - kissy frogs and any thing frog.

    I see some very Sweet Finds here! That little frog is DARLING and he would have followed me home too! Kermit would be SO PROUD of you!
    HOT weather does not agree with me either. I DO NOT LIKE IT! It makes my head feel awful and I too have the breathing problem. PLEASE just stay inside with a cool drink...

    Don't get out when it's so hot. I stay inside during the hot part of the day...then, sneak outside with a cool drink in the evenings and sit on my porch swing..:))

    Great finds! :) Hey, I didn't know you have COPD..I'm so sorry, having breathing problems is no fun! My son had asthma as a little tike, but grew out of it, so I know it's not fun!
