I Won a Towell from Hunted Treasures/ Finished Project!

Good Evening Bloggers!! I was thinking today that I was worried when I moved to this small condo if I would have anything to blog about. Well that was a needless worry! LOL. I have found lots and lots to blog about.

I thought I would share with you, the towel i won from Maria and Ruth's Give Away @ Hunted Treasures. It is the most darling little towel I have ever seen. It will find a special place in my new home!!

Also I have been working on this beaded deer since I lived at the house we sold. I finally finished it today!! So I thought I could share that with you before I leave for Jamaica!!
I am so excited to be going on vacation!! It will be a nice break away from work. I am really exhausted mentally and physically. We leave Wednesday at 7:45 am. So I will be missing in action for a time.

I was so fortunate to win this little dress shaped towell!! Isn't it the cutest little towel you have ever seen! I won this from Hunted Treasures!! Maria and Ruth did a wonderful job on making this sweet little towell.

This is a close up view of the top part of the dress towell.

Maria and Ruth from Hunted Treasures sent along a nice personal note!!

I finally finished my Christmas Reindeer. After hours of gluing cream colored beads to a paper machie deer. It is finally finished. I think its pretty. However it is not as good as the first deers I did. I added a Christmas ribbon and glittered rose and a couple of small ornaments around his neck. I did not put this detail on the first deer I did.

Angie, This is Dedicated to You!!

Good Evening Blogger Friends!! Well Thanksgiving is over and did I have alot to be thankful for this year. First of all my family and friends~~ also I am going on a pre Christmas vacation to Jamaica!! We leave on Wednesday Dec 1!! And God is blessing with a new home!! I am cancer free!! God is so good!!!

As you know our Christmas decorations are simple this year!! So I thought I would share a picture of our Tree!! I have dedicated this tree to my sweet Canadian friend
Angie@Freespirit Haven!! When she sees it she will understand why!!

The theme of the tree is red cardinals which are the Ky State Bird!! As most know Ky is my home state!!

This day I spent doing my Christmas Shopping. It was a mad house out there!! I will never ever do that again! I usually shop all year long and then I can just enjoy the wrapping at Christmas time. But you guys are not even going to believe how disorganized I am! I had shopped all year round, but during the move, the boxes marked Christmas presents were taken along with the other boxes to storage unit, with all our furniture and stuff. They are sitting all boxed up in the back of the unit with furniture and who knows what piled high on them. So, thus, I had to go shopping for presents again!! Lordy Lordy will I ever learn!!

Progress on the House and Yard Sale Finds!!

Good Evening Bloggers!! Finally some progress we can see on building the house. This past month has been waiting on permits and getting all the paperwork done. I wanted to share the pictures of the work done on the lot thus far. The next thing they will put in the plumbing. Here at least , I don't know how they build in other states, they put the plumbing under the cement foundation.
I am so excited!! I can't wait to see the walls going up. We meet with the builders next week.
I also was able to hit a few yardsales last weekend. I went in hunt of books to read. But I stumbled upon these two gorgeous finds I could not pass up!! So please bear with me on what may be boring pictures to you on the house. Scroll on down and see my latest finds!!

I bought this little crochet apron for fifty cents. Is not the most adorable little apron you have ever seen.

This little sweet grass basket was something I could not resist. It was just 5.00 dollars. For those of you that don't know , a sweet grass basket the size of a fifty cent piece can sell for 25.00. This one is much larger.
Also for those of you that don't know about these baskets, they are huge part of the South Carolina culture!

Family Dollar and Home Goods Finds!!

Good Evening Friendly bloggers!! I hope your Saturday has went well. It was cold here this morning, but by the afternoon it was beautiful!! I did go to some yard sales today, but only but a few little things. I will share them maybe tommorrow.
I thought I would share some of the Christmas decorations I found at Family Dollar and Home Goods. I really do love both those stores!! So enjoy!!

I love this little snowman wall hanging. I found it at the Family Dollar. It just had to come home with me!!

I still have to buy a Christmas candle for this Candle Holder. It was a home goods find as well. After Christmas it may get a makeover, maybe to an oil rubbed bronze.

This mug I bought for hubby. It suits him well, he can be a real bah humbug at Christmas. But he tolerates it for me. He knows I love Christmas.

This little poinsetta Christmas bowl , I bought at Home Goods!! I will set it in the middle of my dining room table here in the condo!! OOOOOOOOOoops maybe not on the table, that is where I am going to put my deer. Maybe I will put it on the coffee table.

Lets Pray for Our Vets!!

Veterans Day should be a special Holiday in every American's heart. Please lets all take the time to remember our young soldiers who continue to keep American's safe!! Our country no matter what its faults is still the best Country anyone could wish for!!
Our young soldiers are giving their lives everyday to keep Americans free, and safe.
As a mother of a US Marine I stand proud!! My son has served his time in Iraq. He continues to be a loyal Marine and puts the Corp and God first. By putting them first he understands he is keeping his family safe and contributing to the safety of all American families.
Just to be clear he is not in Iraq now,but continues to serve as a loyal US Marine!!
The picture below is of my son in his uniform and on his wedding day. Isn't he a handsome dude!!

Thanking God for his Blessings in my Life!!!

Good Evening Bloggers!!
It was cold here in Myrtle Beach this morning~~ we had frost!! I thought I would take a moment and just express some thankfulness I have experienced in my life. I think most of you know I am a cancer survivor. I had colon cancer, but they got it all and I am doing fine. It has been three years since I was diagnosed. I am so grateful to my God who is a healing God and he heard my prayers. He continues to bless me everyday!!
Every other day I hear someone that their parent, brother, sister etc has just died from colon cancer!! Every time I hear that I say a prayer of thanks to my Lord for allowing me to discover mine in time.
I am so grateful to my husband who absolutely insisted that I make my doctor send me to a colonoscopy. I had been treated for over a year for IBS and the doctor never mentioned that test. Well obviously I had the test done, and thats when they found the mass!! It was in the very early stages and the doctor told me I was going to be fine!!
So every year at Thanksgiving time I have alot to be Thankful for! I also had thyroid cancer that I had surgery for four years ago!! It is strange my thyroid cancer and my colon cancer , I was in the hospital at Thanksgiving.
I thought I would share this story with you as way to express my thankfullness. The plants below are all from friends and coworkers when I went through my surgery.

This little plant was only a sprig when I bought it at Walmart. I paid 50 cents off the bargain table for it. I cannot believe how much it has grown this year. I don't know the name of the plant. If any of you guys know. please tell me the name of it, I would greatly appreciate it.

This is a plant that work sent me when I was in the hospital for a colon resection. It was a small garden arrangement. It has really grown these past three years.

Christmas cactus is just beginning to bloom!!!

The Rest of Michaels Haul

Good Evening!! Lordy blogger finally let me post the rest of my Michale's Haul!! I love all the sparklies on these picks!! Tomorrow I will show you my Home Store Haul!!

If you look at my very first post in the blogger world, you will see last years tree. You will notice I had a cardinal theme. Well these little picks will be on my tree this year and carry over to next year on one of my trees!!

I won't be using this little birdie this Christmas. I really bought him for next year. When we are in the new house I plan to have a cream and brown themed tree.

I love these lacy leaves. I think they will be so pretty on the tree or even in a project somehow.
