Hello , my friends~
It has been a long while since I put out a post. I am what they call a small blogger , so many people do not visit my site or comment. I kind of felt like what was the point.
Since I could not sleep, I decided to post about my sun room. Hope you enjoy the photos.

I changed out the decor on this book case.  I found the lantern at a yard sale. Also the candle holder came from a yard sale as well.  The greenery I have had awhile.  The picture I have had for awhile, it was a Family dollar find.
On the shelves I just placed some family photos.

This is my husbands corner.  The rocker was a purchase from Lowe's many years ago. It was originally white, but we painted it leather brown.  I found the afghan at Goodwill.  The clock was a yard sale find.

The horse canvas was a Ross find. The throw I won as a give away. The rooster pillow is yard sale find.  The floor lamp was purchased by husband.  The lamp on the radio was  gift. I bought the N at Kirkland.  I have had the floral arrangement for many years. The radio my husband won at a Christmas party. The metal work was a yard sale find.

The valances I purchased from target........they have been moved from the dining room to this sun room. I also shopped the house for the things on the little table. We have had the plants for many years.  My hubbie has a green thumb.

I hope you enjoyed my photos.  This was my way of changing the decor to more fall colors by using burgundy and reds.

Hello! My blogging friends.
Just got into the mood to do some spring decorating. Just taking it slow ,with bits and corners at at time.
Also sharing some of things I have been creating.  Hope you enjoy.

I did not sleep last night, so I made this wreath. I finished it about 4:00 am. It has some touches of Easter with the glittered little eggs tucked in here and there.

I changed out everything on this entry table.  I had an ecru lace table runner on, but wanted to lighten it up with the white lace. I changed out a chocolate brown bowl for a crystal bowl. This is where we keep our keys and hubbies eppie pen.  I made the little box and the white bird I have had for years. I have also had this lamp for years. It was a 5.00 Goodwill find.

I made the table runner. I have a Dream Creator 5001 embroidery machine. I do not know whose design I used, if you recognize it as yours please let me know. I will give you complete credit for the design.   The bunny is  a Goodwill find, I made the egg basket froma peat pot and dollar  tree eggs. The candle was in my stash. The candle holder was a yard sale find.

I am just sharing some of the small projects I created.

Mantle decorations and lamp redo.

I changed out some of the decorations on my mantle. I use to have the hydrangeas in the center of the mantle.  I found the plate that is now there at Big Lots. I also found the candle container there as well. I thought both went well with the color of the hydrangeas. I just added some crystal  to complete the look.

I found this lamp at Good Will. It was a beat up gold color. I just took out my trusty black spray paint and gave it a make over. I added some bling around the glass table top. I used a shade I had on another lamp I had stored in my storage area.

Vignette

Clearly this vignette needs some work. However , it will have to do for now This on a window wall in my kitchen. I put box wood (fake) in chicken wire basket on the little table. I love this shelf that I have hanging but I do not know what to do with it. For now I put some blue mason jar type thingies on the bottom shelf. and the smaller to shelf, I put some burlap wrapped bottles. If anyone has any better ideas or any ideas at all how to decorate this shelf, I am all Blogging  Ears.

K-Mart Haul and a Vignette

I went to K-Mart yesterday to purchase some brackets. I did not find the brackets I needed, but came across a awesome after Christmas Sale.
I purchased all the stuff above for 25.00  and some change.
My hubbie will make good of the sausage and cheese. I kept one of the little cutting boards and will give one to my daughter and son.
The Christmas buckets I will take the contents out of them and make my own gift baskets next Christmas. I will use the hot cocoa and mints and cookies.
There were two tea gift  packs. One I took apart and will use the contents. The other I will give to my daughter.
I will not wear the jewelry but will use it in my craft projects. Don't you love when you can find a really good bargain!

I changed the top of my book case in the dining room. I added some pink elements. I do not use a lot of pink in my decorating, but decided to add some touches in the dining room.
The large fan was purchased at Habitat for Humanity Resale Store. I added some embellishments and made a stand. I used it as a back drop for my vignette.
The lamp is a Kirkland find  a few years back. The candle came from Goodwill. I do not remember where I got the frosted fruit, but have had it for several years. The book was a Marshall's purchase. The table runner was a gift from my step daughter.

Thrift Store Haul

I was really pleased to be able to take these roses home with me. It is meant for a Christmas decoration. I will save them for next year. They will fit right in with my winter wonderland theme. I love that they have glitter on the roses and a frosted look to the fruit and leaves.

I found these for 99 cents. I thought they look like wintery blues. Also they have some silver pics in them , I will use them for crafting  purposes.

These flowers remind me of paper whites. They also have some silver pics in them. They were 99 cents as well.

I love these three Christmas Angels.  I will probably glue them to a canvas and display them in that matter. I will probably do something with the color. The gold  just does not do it for me............However I could leave them gold because I did decorate with gold in my kitchen this year.

I thought this little lace box was cute. I really do not like the orange flower , so I will change that out to a more neutral cream.

I thought this little candle holder was cute. It was a 1.91.  I will show you how I use it in a vignette.

I love this lace table topper. Anytime I can find lace regardless if it is vintage or not. It comes home with me. If I do not  use it for its intended purpose, I will utilize it to make something.

If I could wear this I totally would.   However I can not get one arm in the sleeve.  It is a size small. I bought it to cut up and use the individual  doily pieces in my crafting.

Hello my Friends! I have been doing my therapy sessions, thought I would show you my creations. I made the rather large wall hanging, I love the browns and cream colors I used. I have to make a new hanger, the one I have on it does not work. It causes it to sag in the middle.
The square thingie was a purchased piece, I just added the embellishments. I made the Valentine Wall Hanging many years ago. Back then I did not do much embellishing. So when I found it again, I fancied it up a bit. Hope you enjoy!!

Question for my decorating friends.

Is it okay to decorate with mercury glass all year long.  I have  posted pictures of my mantle and how I decorated it.  Please give me your opinion.

I had these mercury glass pieces up through Christmas. I took away all the ones that had snow flakes or some kind of Christmas decor. I just love the look of silver in our family room. We have a gray sofa and the mercury glass looks really pretty in this room.

I bought the hydrangeas on after Christmas clearance. They have pearls and glitter on their petals. But I did not think you would have to use them specifically for Christmas. I like pearls and glitter all year round.
I also decorated the credenza behind the sofa with silver and mercury glass. I made the table runner. I just loved the color of the fabric.

I made some pillows from the same fabric that I made the table runner.

Thrifting Finds and Tuesday Morning Haul

Good Afternoon  Friends!
I trust everyone has their Christmas decorations put away. I have , and have started some new vignettes and plans for more.
I wanted to share today my thrift store finds  and my Tuesday Morning finds. I hope you enjoy!

I found this little Music box at the Habitat for Humanity re-sale store.  I have found myself falling in love with musical instruments and things that have musical instruments. I love how the little cherubs dance around.

This is how I used in a vignette. This vignette is in my guest room. I changed it out some today. I added the wicker music thingy I altered and the music box.  The cloth on the table top is a bath mat I found at the dollar tree. I loved the butterflies.  This table I found at yard sale a long time ago.  I still have plans to paint it..  You will notice it is missing the drawer pull. It is inside the drawer. I took it off in preparation of painting.

I found the tall brown urn at the same re-sale shop. The little donkey is a yard sale find of many years ago. The lamp is  a walmart lamp and the book is a yard sale find.

None of these linens are vintage. But I use lace in all sorts of project vintage and non vintage. The little stripe pillow case will get a make over. I plan to cut it down to travel pillow size and embroidery my grandson Mason's name on it. It is actually a little pillow that belong to his father when he was a newborn. So I thought it fitting I should give it to Mason.
I thought this little plate was so delicate and sweet.

TUESDAY MORNING HAUL!

These are all self explainatory.

Happy New Year  Friends!  I have been playing house the past two days. In that I mean, I was tired of how I had the guest room decorated so I did a make over. I did not spend any money on this project, I utilized things I already had. And when you view this project you can definitely tell that.........LOL. I call this my Country Victorian guest room. A fancy way of saying quilts, pine furniture and little bit of frill.
You will also notice I have a thing for bunnies. You can learn a lot about a person in how they decorate. Hope you enjoy. Please do not judge. It may not be your taste, but different strokes for different folks.

The bedding was the set that I had in the Master Bedroom at one time.  The lamp on the right I found at a yard sale a year or so ago. I decorated the shade with lace and beads.  The crochet table topper , I have had for more than 15 years.  The bear is a yard sale find, the picture is a craft project of mine. The bunny on the bed was a Good Will find. Do not worry I steamed him sanitary in my dryer.  The picture above the be we have had for many years.  The burlap bird picture is a Good Will find.

The little hat stand on the right is a Good Will find. I did a  makeover to make it more beautiful.  The basket I have had for years, and the birds are Christmas ornaments. The long box on he left is a Dollar Store purchase. I made the heart that is sitting on top of the box.

The welcome sign is a Dollar Store purchase.  The heart is a craft project.

I  am debating if I like this banner I made. It may be replaced in the near future. I have not decided yet.
