Yard Sale Finds and Completed Project!!

Happy Monday Evening bloggers. I thought I would post this weekends yard sale finds. It is very difficult to find anything good at yard sales anymore. I don't know if its the economy and people are hanging on to what they have and not purchasing anything else. But the pickins are slim!!

I never go to Goodwill anymore because the one in our area has raised their prices and I can find better deals at Yard Sales anymore. What they want for an item at Goodwill I could almost purchase new for the same price.

Have a Good Week!!

This crystal piece is made by Mikassa . I found it at a yard sale for 50 cents!!
This little dish is made by Lenox. I paid a whopping 50 cents for it!!
I found this little egg at Family Dollar for 2.00. Its not bone china but it matches my Old Country Roses China!!
I found this red fleece blanket at a yard sale for 25 cents. It is brand new, never been used!!
I embroidered all four corner with this little snowman and it says Happy Holidays!!

Yard Sale Finds and a Finished Project!!

Good Morning Bloggers. It is a hot Sunday here in South Carolina. It is 95 degrees and is suppose to get hotter as the day goes by.
I wanted to share some of this weekends yard sale finds with you. I am not having much luck lately with yard sales or Goodwill. I don't know why.
This is a home interior piece. It matches my old world style in my living room.
All the little drawer open up. so extra storage for tiny bits and pieces.
These items were 1.00. I love anything with bling!
I love this crystal heart. It was 2.50 at a yard sale. Probably I paid too much for it, but I loved it and was not going to pass it by.
I paid 75 cents for all these items. As you can see in one of the boxes there were two quarters. So technically I only paid a 25 for all. I love a surprise!! LOL
This little easel was 50 cents at a yard sale.
I bought this little green bucket that is filled with jingle bells. I see future craft projects on the way.
This little ivory piece was 25 cents from a yard sale.
I found this little hobnail milk glass planter for 50 cents at a yard sale this weekend. It has two pieces , the little square on the bottom is the 2nd piece.
Up close photo of the quilt I finally finished after 2 years.
I started working on this quilt 2 years ago and finally completed it. Sewing around all the little stars to quilt it was tedious work. So I procrastinated. This is my July 4 decorations.

Yard Sale finds * what can you buy for .35 and Goodwill goodies!!

Good Evening Bloggers!! It is sure hot here in South Carolina ,95 degrees.
I thought I would update my blog with a few of my recent finds. I have not had much luck at Goodwill or yard sales lately but will share some of what I have found. I will share more later this week.
I found this little blue and white rose candle holder and the dresser set for a 1.00 each at yard sales this weekend. I have alot more yard sale stuff to share, but will share it at another post.
This is a picture of the markings on the plates below.
I found these plates at Goodwill. They are Johnson brothers made in England. I paid 5.95. I thought that was a reasonable price for Johnson brother plates. There were three of them.
I paid way too much for these two little rose saucers. I found them at Goodwill for 3.93. But to me they were worth it, because I have a whole set of these and can always use extra pieces. My mother in law bought the set for a wedding present many many years ago.
This little teacup was 1.91 at Goodwill.

I bought all these items for .25 cents. The little red cardinal basket is a Lefton china piece.

A Thank you from a friend!, Yard sale finds, Photos of Sunroom

Good Evening!! I decided to update todays post by showing off a beautiful card sent to me by Olivia as a thank you for winning my give away. She can find Olivia at her blog site, Olivia's Romantic Home. She is such a darling sweet blogger, I feel I have made a friend for life!

I also posted some of this weekends yard sale finds!!
I posted the sewing I did for my sun room. I made valances for the patio doors in the same material. The picture of the valances did not post for whatever reason!

I have alot of dreams for decorating that sun room. But for now this will have to do. We are having a contractor come out to estimate and addition to the back of our home. So I do not want to spend alot on decorating until the addition is complete. If we decide we can do the addition.
This beautiful card is a thank you from Olivia at Olivia's Romantic Home. She won my give away. This card is such a gift to me, it is so beautiful!!
The inside of the card!
My sweet friends signature!
All these are flowers from our garden. My hubby has such a green thumb!
These three books are by the author of the Left Behind series. I got these for 1.oo.
Two dollar tote bag.
This tote bag was 2.00. It has never been used and has a price tag of Forty dollars!!
All this stuff I got for 50 cents at a yard sale this weekend. Four pairs of trouser socks that are brand new, to bars of shabby chic soap, a new package of thank you cards, a christmas ornament that is new. Not bad for fifty cents!
I made the table cloth. It covers a rolling cart. I store my serger machine on the bottom shelf. My husband won the radio/record player/cd player/tape player. I need to cover the ugly cords does anyone have any ideas.
This photo is of my wicker sofa in our sun room. I made the cushion cover and the skirt at the bottom. The wood chest was a beat up battered yard sale find. I wanted to paint it white, but my hubby put so much work into the stain and repair that I did not have the heart to paint it! The gladiolas are real, they are from out garden. The tea set and tray are all yard sale finds.

Some of my Stuff/Show and Tell Friday

Good Evening bloggers! I am joining Cindy for Show and Tell Friday. Go on over and check out her beautiful blog!

I bought this beautiful relish server at a yard sale for 3.o0. It says Jay made in Japan. I think it may be a home goods or another discount product. But I sure love it!
This is a close up so you can see the delicate pink roses more clearly.
I bought this plant stand/teacup holder at the Peddlers Mart in Kentucky. I was visiting my daughter. I paid 5.00 for it. It was an ugly brown and so I took my trusty spray paint and painted it a creamy ivory. The little scroll chair I found at Goodwill for 5.98 many moons ago. It had an ugly crepe gold feaux velvet on it. I put this fabric on it and spray painted the frame. I think it looks pretty and shabby chic now. In the back ground is my craft cart in which I hide both my sewing machines. I am going to change up the vignette on top. But for now whats there will work.
oops I think I have double posted this cup.
This little rose teacup is marked made in Japan. I love the Roses .
This little yellow teacup is English Bone china. I love how delicate it is.
I think the violets on this teacup is absolutel gorgeous!!
This is just an up close picture of one of the figurines. They all set as a vignette on my computer desk.
I have been finding these little pale blue and white figurines. I love the family theme of them, of mothers with their children and children and the grandmother one I posted for you not long ago.
These little polymer clay dolls I found at Goodwill sometime ago. I don't remember how much I paid for them, but I am cheap so it would not be much!! LOL. I love the details, the no face, the little blue dresses. These are sitting on top my computer desk in the sunroom/craft room!!
