Decorating the Master Bedroom for Fall.

I changed out the bedding in our master bedroom today for a more Fall like appearance. My decorating style is a Old World, Traditional with a little bit of country thrown in as an accent. Please ignore all the black electronic boxes, my hubbie has at least 11 in this room alone. I try to disguise them the best I can, but there are so many and the electical cords are bizzare. I shutter when the UPS truck shows at our front door. I just know it is another black box. LOL.

The bedding I purchased at Bed BATH AND BEYOND.  The pillows were a Kirkland clearance find.  I have had the lamps for years. The odd and end decor on the night stands are yard sale finds with the exception of the florals. I had those in my stash.

This is my corner in the house. I sit here and read, play on the computer and read my bible. This corner makes me feel secure for whatever reason. I had to sleep in it when I had my breast cancer surgery because it was the only place I could get comfortable. Since that time it has become my safe haven.

These are some random wall decor  I have hung in the room. The two oval shape plaques I have had forever and are my favorite.

  1. Oh, I love your headboard! It is gorgeous! You know, I doubt most people would even notice the black boxes -- I didn't until you said something. I know how you feel, though. My hubby usually laughs but sometimes gets annoyed because I get too picky about some of the stuff that is just part of our daily living. He reminds me that we do live in this house. I still hate cords, though....lol! I really like your cozy corner -- looks comfy and very inviting.

Thank you for commenting on my hearth room. I appreciated your kind words very much!

  3. Susan, Your bedroom looks so nice. That is a gorgeous headboard and I didn't notice the black boxes till you pointed them out! My favorite part though is your "safe & secure" corner. Everyone needs a place like that. xo Diana
