Progress on the House!!

Good Afternoon Bloggers!! It is a wet and dreary day here in Myrtle Beach!! But that did not stop my husband and I from driving out to check on progress on the house!!
I cannot wait to get out of this condo and actually have our things surrounding us, instead of condo furniture and decorations.
The builder said with the Christmas season here, it will be the middle of February before the house will be completely finished. They have to get the inspectors to check out the electricity and plumbing. It seems like it takes forever here in the South to get things inspected.
But anyhow, I thought I would share the progress! I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and wish you many blessings in the New Year. Can you believe it will be 2011!!

Your new home is really coming along. Great progress made since you last shared pics. I know you are anxious to get moved in, but the time will go quickly and you will be there before long.

  13. WOW!
I am super excited for you!
You will have plenty of space to keep us when we come visit--thanks!
I have tons of pictures like these from when our home was being "born".
It has been yucky one day, then sunny the next, over here in Greenville, SC.
Today and yesterday were absolutely gorgeous.
    Tomorrow? Sleet and snow, supposedly!
When is your home supposed to be done?
Merry merry merry Christmas to you and your family!
It has been such a joy getting to know you this year, and yes, I am excited about 2011!!
    HUGS!

  14. Susan, I can see the post it did not show up. So am trying again.
I sure like the light yellow siding you chose..it will look like a Vintage Cottage..but a BIG cottage...!! How many square feet do you have there..and do you have a story and a half ?
Take pictures of where the wiring is in the house as much as possible...you will find it handy later, when you go to drive nails and screws into the nearby 2 x 4... for hanging heavy things. We wish we had taken more at that stage.
Your Master bathtub seems to be low and that is great (for our age group )...ours is TOO TALL and too deep....I have never gotten into our "Garden Tub"...afraid I would never get up out of it if I did... at my age.

    SUPER EXCITED for you.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS,

    Rose

  15. I love seeing the progress of your house! Soooo exciting! I love Myrtle Beach, it's been a few years since I've been there, but the drive isn't too bad from south eastern VA! Enjoy the snow!
