We Have Dry Wall!! Progress! Progress!

Good Evening Bloggers!! I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas. Our festivities are still ongoing. We are visiting my daughter in Kentucky for the New Years. This is when our family will exchange gifts and celebrate our holidays.
I wanted to share with you the progress on our house. The excitement is really building with us now, so is our anxiety. We so want out of this condo. I am so excited about starting to decorate, I lay in bed at night and try to visualize what I am going to do with all the rooms.

I realize I did not share pictures of the fireplace, but I would rather wait until they get the mantle in place. A

I want to take a moment to thank God for watching over me and sending me my many many blessings. Without him in my life I am nothing. May God Bless you and Keep you, May God Shine his light upon you and give you Peace!

This is the view of the Master Bedroom. We had bay windows to make the room larger. It is a big room anyway, but we had such small bedrooms in the old house, that we wanted a Master Bedroom that was much larger~

This is my studio. I love the window. I don't think I will put any window treatments on it so I can let in all the natural light. Since I will be crafting/sewing there I can look out the window and just dream!

This is the bay windows in the Kitchen! Our Kitchen is much larger in this house than our old house!!

This is the view from the living room into the sun room!

I am not sure which bathroom this is, I think it may be the guest bathtub.

This is the loft area! Since my studio is upstairs, I think I will put my wicker furniture in the loft area! I may change my mind, but this is the plan right now.

This is the bonus room upstairs. We did not get the bonus room, however the area where the bonus room should be is there, all we would need to do is drywall it! This was an unexpected bonus for us. The builder stated the next house like ours that is built will only have the rafters. We paid extra to have the flooring laid and the door installed. We will put it together as a room after we move in.

This is the pantry doorway. It has a plant ledge over the door. I already have plans of displaying some of my roosters there!

  2. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, I know the feeling!!! I remember long ago, when Bud and I were first married, and we had a house built to our specifications. What a special day to go out and see the progress and try and patiently wait for it all to be done and we living in it!!

Love the bay windows, but I think most of all, I'm going to be like you and really enjoy the craft room.

Can't wait to see the fireplace when it's done.

  4. OOO, just looking at all these photos gets even ME excited so I can just imagine your excitement. Oh, boy...how fun it will be to decorate.
I remember a few years back, Mr. Sweet and I doubled the size of our living room, making it a nice, large 20x34 (a little wider where the alcove is) and I was so excited I didn't know what to do. I, too, went to bed every single night, "placing" furniture here and there. I measured...went thrifting...repainted furniture...then, when everything was done, the carpet laid, we started placing the furniture. I knew exactly where it all was to go and in just a couple hours, the room looked as if we'd been there in it for a long long time. I loved it all and I've never moved a piece of the furniture. It all fit just like I planned.
I know it will be so, for you, too. :)))

  7. Wow, your home is really coming along nicely...can I make a suggestion about your plant ledge over the pantry? Put an electrical outlet up on top in case you ever want to put a small christmas tree up there, or a small light behind your plants...wish I had done that on top of ours!! Happy New year!
