Yard Sale Finds and Projects.

Hello my blogging friends. It seems I do not have a lot of time for blogging. With working everyday and keeping up with the house hold chores, there is just not enough time.
The good news is I am on the count down for retirement. My retirement date is September 18th. I can not wait to be a full time homemaker.
My plan is to take each room, one at a time. I plan to organize , de- clutter and deep clean each room. Many years ago when I was a stay home mom, I had a cleaning schedule that I stuck by faithfully. This schedule freed up a lot of time.
My home has basically been a hit and miss when it came to deep cleaning. Simply, because there was never enough time. I hope this will change once I retire.

 Yard Sale Finds

The two bowls are yard sale items. They are not silver, but they are dishwasher safe. I loved their silver color. I plan to pull these out at Christmas this year. I plan to go with a winter wonderland effect. This will entail using lots of silver and crystal and some gold.

Just a few projects I completed. The designs on travel pillow case are Sue Box Designs. I  believe the one on the table runner is Sue Box as well. If not , and it is your design, please let me know and I will give you credit.

  1. Susan, you will, indeed, love retirement. I still work part-time jobs but they are ones I enjoy a lot. Your yard sale finds are nice....the last one is a pillowcase, perhaps? Pretty. Susan

Pretty silver bowls, although I'm up to my neck in silver cleaning lately, as you can see, lol! I also have a table with lots of silver pic frames and they are cleaned too...uff! I did it once and for all! I guess retirement gives me time to do ugly chores tyoo, but with lovely outcome! Thanks for your sweet visit my friend.

  6. Congratulations Susan! I hope to be fully retired around the same time you are retiring. I am so looking forward to having time to do the things that I love to do. I know you must feel exactly the same way. I like your ideas for Christmas, gold and silver are beautiful traditional colors for the holidays.
