I got New Pictures of my Grandchildren!!

My daughter in law emailed me about a month ago and actually gave me an address. She will not let me talk to them, but she will send me pictures, and I can finally send things to the children.
I cannot believe how much they have grown. They look happy, and that is the most important thing to me. But I know they miss me and their daddy and all their extended family here.
Keep us in your prayers that God will work a miracle so they can come home!

Anthony is 10 years old. He was only 5 when his mother abducted him. He looks just like my son , of course with the exception of the dark eyes and that beautiful olive skin. He is an adorable little boy. However with all this, his mother has him so confused.

This is Emily. Does she not have the most gorgeous smile!! I think she is absolutely beautiful!! She loves horses, so I sent her the book Black Beauty! Now that their mother is sending me pictures again. I can send them things every two months! I sent over about five pounds worth of stuff and it cost me 53.00! So I won't be able to send things once a month like I would like, I can write letters and send cards though!!

  1. I will pray for that miracle too-the grandkids look happy and are very cute!

  2. I am so glad you are getting photos and can contact them at least via mail. They are beautiful! hugs, Linda

  3. Your grandchildren are beautiful. I pray your daughter in law opens her heart and lets their father and you be a part of their life.

  4. Have you looked into a flat rate box with the USPS? You wouldn't get much in it, but you could stuff a few small gifts inside for the children and it might cut your costs down a bit.

I really hope she will let their father send stuff to open communication, but if nothing else, I hope she hasn't warped them too much so when they become independent they will try to seek him (and you) out. Good luck with everything!

  5. I pray that the children will make contact them self, maybe after a few years the mother has nothing to say over them and they will pack their bags and come to your son and you.
Keep trying and don't give up, my father did and I lost out on him and regret it every day.
    xoxo, Angela.

  6. How terribly sad this is to know that the wonderful children are unable to get to know YOU and you them...Someday...when out of the blue they come to visit with you, you heart will soar!!!

    Lovely photos.

My Shadow Shot Dolphin Art for today.

Thanks for visiting with me yesterday for my Chimp photo blog.

  7. Oh Susan! I am so glad you got some pictures! They are adorable!!

  8. Hi Susan! I wanted to stop by and say "thank you" for visiting my blog. I am so glad that you were finally able to see some photos of your grandchildren. That must be a very difficult circumstance for you and your father. As a mother myself, I have to agree with you that your daughter-in-law is being very selfish. I hope that perhaps someday she will let you and their father be a part of their lives.

  9. Susan, I meant to say you and your family. I should really read more carefully before I push "post"!

  10. What precious grandchildren. I know what it is like not to be able to see your grandchildren. My situation got a little better...I hope yours does soon too!

  11. Oh joy Oh least you have pictures....of those TRULY BEAUTIFUL children...that is wonderful for you and your son. And now an address as well.
I too have bi-racial grandchildren who are being taught that their father's family is "more important" than my daughter's family
( mine)....they are great kids but show such indifference to our side of the family...not disrespect, just indifference.
We are terribly sad about that fact too.

  12. Hi Susan,
My prayers will be on going for your situation. What beautiful grandchildren. I know you and your son miss them. Getting pictures and knowing your gifts are received is a good start. I pray God takes care of the rest and brings some harmony and peace for the future.

Congratulations on your new home today. God Bless you always with many special memories there.
    Hugs and love, Celestina Marie

  13. Beautiful kids! My prayers go out to you today. Praying that God will intervene and things will work out for the best.

  14. I'm so happy to hear that the door has been opened for communication. How relieved you must be to finally be able to see pictures and write. They are precious and are so lucky to have you in their lives.

  15. I am praising God that you can now send things to your darling grandchildren. They will know they are loved and the truth always comes out.

  16. What beautiful grandchildren - my heart goes out to you and to your family - but, most especially to the little ones! I am thankful you're able to keep in touch this way - miracles can happen!
    God Bless<
