I got New Pictures of my Grandchildren!!

My daughter in law emailed me about a month ago and actually gave me an address. She will not let me talk to them, but she will send me pictures, and I can finally send things to the children.
I cannot believe how much they have grown. They look happy, and that is the most important thing to me. But I know they miss me and their daddy and all their extended family here.
Keep us in your prayers that God will work a miracle so they can come home!

Anthony is 10 years old. He was only 5 when his mother abducted him. He looks just like my son , of course with the exception of the dark eyes and that beautiful olive skin. He is an adorable little boy. However with all this, his mother has him so confused.

This is Emily. Does she not have the most gorgeous smile!! I think she is absolutely beautiful!! She loves horses, so I sent her the book Black Beauty! Now that their mother is sending me pictures again. I can send them things every two months! I sent over about five pounds worth of stuff and it cost me 53.00! So I won't be able to send things once a month like I would like, I can write letters and send cards though!!

  3. Your grandchildren are beautiful. I pray your daughter in law opens her heart and lets their father and you be a part of their life.

  4. Have you looked into a flat rate box with the USPS? You wouldn't get much in it, but you could stuff a few small gifts inside for the children and it might cut your costs down a bit.

I really hope she will let their father send stuff to open communication, but if nothing else, I hope she hasn't warped them too much so when they become independent they will try to seek him (and you) out. Good luck with everything!

  5. I pray that the children will make contact them self, maybe after a few years the mother has nothing to say over them and they will pack their bags and come to your son and you.
Keep trying and don't give up, my father did and I lost out on him and regret it every day.

  8. Hi Susan! I wanted to stop by and say "thank you" for visiting my blog. I am so glad that you were finally able to see some photos of your grandchildren. That must be a very difficult circumstance for you and your father. As a mother myself, I have to agree with you that your daughter-in-law is being very selfish. I hope that perhaps someday she will let you and their father be a part of their lives.

  11. Oh joy Oh happiness...at least you have pictures....of those TRULY BEAUTIFUL children...that is wonderful for you and your son. And now an address as well.
I too have bi-racial grandchildren who are being taught that their father's family is "more important" than my daughter's family
( mine)....they are great kids but show such indifference to our side of the family...not disrespect, just indifference.
We are terribly sad about that fact too.
