Yard Sale Finds!

Good Evening my friends in blog land. This is just a quick post this evening, as I am beat from working all day. As you know my goal this year is to purge and use up. I have very good at not bringing as much back in as I take out of the house. I spent a whole dollar this weekend at the yard sales. Below are my two purchases. Hope you enjoy and I am requesting ideas on how to display the bird house.

Isn't this little lady gorgeous! I love the roses in her dress. She was fifty cents! I just had to have her, she was just too pretty to pass by.

I really love this little birdhouse! I paid fifty cents for it at a yard sale this weekend. I need help from you lovelies out there. Please tell me how to display this, do I add greenery, or what?? Also what would you display with it. I am thinking I am displaying it in my Master Bedroom since it has a country theme.

  3. I love the little lady- What a find. She would be cute in a cloche with some other old-timey things.
As for the birdhouse- I would probably paint it (because I paint everything-lol) and add a bit of green moss to it and maybe a little bird. I am giving you a link that shows you all kinds of birdhouses that have been decorated for inside or outside. I don't think you can just click on it. You will probably have to copy it and paste it in your browser. Let me know if it works for you. xo Diana

  4. What a lovely little lady you have there and for only .50 I would have snatched her up too!

Very cute birdhouse as well, my kitchen is decorated in birds and I'm just starting a post series on my kitchen.

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

  6. Hi Susan,
I can see why you did not pass the beautiful lady. She is stunning.
Darling little birdhouse too. I am very sure you will display it perfectly with your talents and redos. For me, I might paint it in off white and add lace on the edge of the rooftop and around the base. A little bird sitting on the perch. Would be so cute in a sunroom or even on the mantle.
Thank you for stopping by today my friend and your kind comment. It is always so great to see you.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend ahead. Don't work too hard sweets.
    Sending hugs, Celestina Marie

  7. Gosh Susan,we don't have any yard sales going yet ,Can't wait for warmer weather!

Darling birdhouse. I'd paint it shabby chic, distressed, add some birds and a nest around the top maybe. I'm sure you'll come up with something grand. be sure to show us when you do!

  10. Oh, Susan, lovely treats you got at the yard sale. The little lady is darling.

If the birdhouse were mine, I'd paint it either light, light pink or white, and then paint little roses all over it----maybe a vine with green, too. So cute!

Take care and Susan, thanks for all your visits and comments on my blog. Love when you visit. Susan
