I just wanted to share a couple of things I made for Easter.  I bought the He is Risen cross at Marshall,s, I added the extra floras around the pit berry wreath.  The cross is a reminder to me that Jesus died on the cross for sins. We live because he died. 

I purchased the blue wood piece at the Dollar Tree. It had the green leaf wreath already on there. I just jazzed it up a bit with extra flora's and a bird. Again I added the cross which is a Christmas ornament to represent again why we celebrate Easter.   It is not all about rabbits and bunnies.  But I do decorate with bunnies for spring. 

I have not blogged for a while, actually for several years now.  Life sure goes fast the older you get. I want to be more diligent with my blogging efforts.  Share things that I create and even some of my daily life. I hope you enjoy the wreath I made for Easter.  I hesitate to use bunnies and eggs in  my decorations. I want to respect that Christ died and rose on Easter.  

In my heart that is there, and the decorations to me represent spring.

Hello Blogging friends!
I have been working on the front alcove of our house.  I had a chicken wire trellis and added a galvanized metal container by using plastic ties. I put Styrofoam in the container and added floral. I attached a plaque I purchased at Hobby Lobby. Added some pip berries with lights.
The two pillows on the chairs I purchased at Home Depot, as well as the plant. The star lights hanging on the chair  I purchased at Ross.
This will be the extent of my decorations for July 4th.

I have severe anxiety. In order to keep it at a manageable level I alter things and make vignettes in my home. I don't claim to be an interior designer or artist.  I just like to craft as part of my therapy. I wanted today to share some things I altered and how I styled them in a vignette.

Project Share

Hey Folks!
I have been crafting some again.  I made a few bookmarks, a heart and Altered a wicker carriage.  To make the bookmarks I use bits and pieces off my  crafting desk..........just little snippets of lace and embellishments. I don't like to waste anything, I try to find a purpose for it.

Hey Ladies!  
I thought I would share a project I completed today.  I found this  doll size wicker chase lounge in a antique/thrift store I go to occasionally.  I decided I would try to alter it. This is my finished result.
The fabric is from and old pillow case. I then just started layering the lace and the embellishments.  The mauve satin fabric I made the pillow with is from a kit I bought on line........as well as some of the embellishments.

I just wanted to share a couple of projects I completed. I made the book mark for a swap and now can not remember what group the swap is..........LOL
The embroidery hoop is one I altered to hang in the uest bathroom. The little hearts have sachets so they smell pretty.

I made these projects today!  The image on the bottom sachet is a freebie off the net.  The pillow and one of the sachets at top I will be giving as a gift to a friend of mine.  Hope you like my crafting.

Just sharing a little wall hanging I made.

I made this lantern swag, it may be too large for the Lantern, But I am going to leave it the way it is. The candle is one of those  luminary candles. I forgot to turn it on before taking the photo.  You will notice the table is missing it;s hardware. I plan to paint the table. If you have suggestions leave it in the comments.  I found those little turquoise shoes at Goodwill, The Little cherub music I found at  Humanity resale shop. 

I made this wall hanging yesterday. It somehow has curved inward on me on the right side. I got really tired when I made this and should have stopped and finished it the next day.

Just a short little share of  Spring Decor again today.   I bought this wrought iron candle sconce  at Ross. The candles are from  the Dollar Tree. I look for the flowers in thrift stores. They generally come with a green wine holder or some kind of basket.  If anyone knows where I can purchase these types of flowers , please let me know. They are not silk, or plastic, they are almost like crepe paper but not really paper.

This wall hanging I made from a  Batten-berg lace toilet paper holder.  I glued each side together and put on the flowers and added more lace.

This is a photo of my dining room table decorations.   I found a wrought iron candle stand at Goodwill. I brought it home and created this Spring/Easter arrangement.  I used a combination of pink and purple candles I found at the Dollar Tree.  The ribbons I used are purchased from AC Moore.  The florals I found at a combination of stores and some I had on hand. I used flowers from AC Moore, Michael's and hobby lobby and dollar tree.
I think I made a beautiful seasonal arrangement. The best thing is , the wrought iron base can be used seasonably or anytime I feel like a change.

This wrought iron piece was also found at Goodwill. Again I added pink candles I found at  Hobby Lobby. The flowers are again a combination of Tuesday Morning, Michael's , Dollar Tree and some I already had on hand. This piece is also interchangeable for the season or holidays.

Hey blogger friends. 
Long time no see!  I had not been blogging for a long while now, but have decided to start again. I got so discouraged because people went to blogging they paid for the sites and advertising. My purpose when I started was just to share my projects with every one.
So if no one looks at this.............I will do it for myself.  So good to be back and doing things I love.

Dining Room Spring/Easter  Decorations.

This year I chose to use a lot of purple in my decorating for Spring/Easter. This is a color I do not normally choose. But the flora's I purchased to create my arrangement with, included  lavender , pink and white. I also use left over flowers I had on hand from previous projects. 

To be able to display some of my random china pieces , I placed this book case next to my hutch.  I love pretty china  and stone ware. 
The Lamp sitting on a book  covered with a doily came from Old Time Pottery years ago.  The two little bunnies were found at a yard sale. The china pitcher ,cup and saucer, came from a yard sale as well.  The little bunny next to the pitcher came from Goodwill.  The Easter sign setting in the back ground was purchased this year at Big Lots.

It has been a long while since I put out a post. I am what they call a small blogger , so many people do not visit my site or comment. I kind of felt like what was the point.
Since I could not sleep, I decided to post about my sun room. Hope you enjoy the photos.

I changed out the decor on this book case.  I found the lantern at a yard sale. Also the candle holder came from a yard sale as well.  The greenery I have had awhile.  The picture I have had for awhile, it was a Family dollar find.
On the shelves I just placed some family photos.

This is my husbands corner.  The rocker was a purchase from Lowe's many years ago. It was originally white, but we painted it leather brown.  I found the afghan at Goodwill.  The clock was a yard sale find.

The horse canvas was a Ross find. The throw I won as a give away. The rooster pillow is yard sale find.  The floor lamp was purchased by husband.  The lamp on the radio was  gift. I bought the N at Kirkland.  I have had the floral arrangement for many years. The radio my husband won at a Christmas party. The metal work was a yard sale find.

The valances I purchased from target........they have been moved from the dining room to this sun room. I also shopped the house for the things on the little table. We have had the plants for many years.  My hubbie has a green thumb.



I hope you enjoyed my photos.  This was my way of changing the decor to more fall colors by using burgundy and reds.

Hello! My blogging friends.
Just got into the mood to do some spring decorating. Just taking it slow ,with bits and corners at at time.
Also sharing some of things I have been creating.  Hope you enjoy.

I did not sleep last night, so I made this wreath. I finished it about 4:00 am. It has some touches of Easter with the glittered little eggs tucked in here and there.

I changed out everything on this entry table.  I had an ecru lace table runner on, but wanted to lighten it up with the white lace. I changed out a chocolate brown bowl for a crystal bowl. This is where we keep our keys and hubbies eppie pen.  I made the little box and the white bird I have had for years. I have also had this lamp for years. It was a 5.00 Goodwill find.

I made the table runner. I have a Dream Creator 5001 embroidery machine. I do not know whose design I used, if you recognize it as yours please let me know. I will give you complete credit for the design.   The bunny is  a Goodwill find, I made the egg basket froma peat pot and dollar  tree eggs. The candle was in my stash. The candle holder was a yard sale find.

I am just sharing some of the small projects I created.
