Yard sale and Goodwill finds.

This tray was 50. cents. It has very little tarnish on it so I am thinking it is not silver. Its proably galvanize aluminum or something. There is no markings on the back.
These two cream colored stockings were 25. cents each. I will embroidery some design on them. I always look for things I can transform with my embroidery.
I went to Relay for life yard sale this past Saturday and found this heart box with the note cards. It was marked for 3.00 but when I went to pay I had about six other items and she only charged me 4.00. There was a smaller one there but I didn't take it because it was marked for 2.00. Had I known she would give me a bargain I would have gotten that one too. I guess that sounds pretty greedy. Really I am a generous person. I give as much as I get.
I love this little bunny pillow! It was a yard sale find for .50 cents. It matches the decor in my living room. I plan to use him even after Easter.
This isa twin bedskirt. I am going to repurpose it for a skirt for my wicker sofa in the sunroom. It will hide my decorative boxes that hold my crafting supplies. I found it for 3.00 at a little thrift store down the street from me. I bet you thought I was gonna say Goodwill , didn't ya??
I collect sheets with Roses on them!! I use them sometimes for other things rather than sheets, some I use as sheets. I found these at Goodwill for 3.92.
A white eyelet lace pillow case for .99 cents. You gotta love Goodwill!
These are Martha Stewart curtains I found at Goodwill a week ago. They were a mere 2.92. I am going to hang them on my Sun Room Sliding Glass door. I think they will fit. I am spring up the Sun Room. I am looking for a shabby chic computer desk and white desk for my sewing machine. My sunroom is also my studio.
This is a little easter decoration that was 25 cents. I could not pass it up. It was a bunny and it was pink. Nuff said.
This is an up close picture of the bowl.

I scored this little baby at a yard sale this past Saturday for a mere 2.00. It is about 10 inces tall and the bowl is about 14 inches wide. It is two pieces the pedastal detaches from the bowl. If anyone knows what this milk glass piece is to be used for please let me know. But I can imagine all sorts of creative uses for it, especially at Christmas time. I almost missed it, it was buried in a box under a table. I have to remember to dig in the boxes at yard sales. I generally do not take the time.

One end of the dining room table.

I decorated my dining room table for Easter. I made the beaded easter eggs. Don't you just love hot glue guns. The big yellow and green eggs I bought at a yard sale. If you notice I used the blue table runner I embroidered.

Embroidery Project, yard sale finds, Goodwill finds

Hello everyone, tommorrow is Sunday and thus will begin my love/hate relationship with it all day. The day seems to fly by and then I wake up and it is Monday Morning, UGH.
I put a mixture of my own projects , yard sale and Goodwill finds. I hope you enjoy looking at them.
Thrifting is one of my favorite hobbies. I rarely buy anything brand new and if I do its usally clothes.
I will try to post my easter eggs I am working on tommorrow night. Along with my easter decorations.
Tiny ceramic ballerina shoes. I found them at a yard sale for 10 cents!!
I found this little blue and white toile purse at Goodwill for 3,29. Isn't it precious. I think someone hand made it vs it being store bought. I couldn't resist.
I found this beautiful embroidered purse at the church sale I went to last Friday. It was only 50 cents. Even though I embroider I appreciate items that already are embroidered. I thought this purse was just so lovely.
This is the runner spread out on the floor. I plan to use this on my dining table for easter!
This is the center of the runner. I don't know whose designs I used, if this is one of your designs let me know and I will give you credit for your embroidery designs.
This is a blue table runner I embroidered. This the ends of it, both ends are embroidered like this.
This is a up close picture of the entry table. I am not happy with how this vignette looks, so I am going to try to tweak when I figure out a plan.
This is a picture of my entry table, it has a vintage grape theme. The pitcher and plate a neighbor gave me before he moved. I found the glass bowl the grapes are in at Goodwill, for 6.00. The bunnies were a yard sale find last year sometime, I don't remember how much, but I know I would not have paid more than a buck.

I am participating in Show and Tell Friday.

Shewwwwwww its been a long week! I am so glad tommorrow is Friday!! Its raining today, and its suppose to rain tommorrow. There won't be any yard sales ......pout!
This is an up close picture of the rose plate.
A close up the little bird sitting on the trunk. I don't have a clue where I got that from.
This is my trunk I have sitting by a chair in my living room. The table runner I made, you can't see it but it has burgandy lace around the edges. I embroidered each lace piece and then sewed them on to the fabric. The cream vase and flowers in it I found at Goodwill for 2.92 each. The plate with roses I found at yard sale, I don't remember the exact price but I can say for sure it was not more than a dollar!!
This is a table in my living room. I love the cute little wide eyed bird, although you can't see his eyes in the picture. The cherub clock is a cheap one but I like it. The crystal lamp is a part of the set my husband and I bought when we first moved to SC.

I have been Spring Cleaning.

I have a love hate relationship with Sundays. I love it because it is the sabbath day and a time to praise and worship our Lord. I hate it because it is the last day before I have to go back to work. I am so ready to retire and be a full time wife, homemaker. I want to play and clean, and thrift till my hearts content. LOL
I did manage to do some spring cleaning. I took everything down from the tops of my cabinets and cleaned all of it and the top of the cabinets itself. I manage to purge and started a pile in the garage for a garage sale of my own.
I still have alot to do, but I can only get so much done in one weekend!!
Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!! I love life and all it has to offer!!
This is hanging over my kitche door that leads to my pantry to the garage. We transformed the utility room to a pantry and put the washer and dryer in the garage. It is generally so warm here we can do that, in the South. My husband and I downsized when we moved here, so space is valuable. Especially the way I decorate. LOL.
Another view of the top of my cabinets.
This is the top of my kitchen cabinets. If you notice the dried roses are my valentine roses my husband gave me this year. I save everything. LOL
This is a little corner in my kitchen. I found the wine bottle at Goodwill on Friday. It was a 1.91. I don't remember where I got the rooster plate. The little green cow, is another goodwill find for .99.
another picture of the mantle
I made some changes to my mantle counter top. If you look back at some my first post you will see it had just three items. The little apple I found at a yard sale this Saturday cost me a whooping .10. it gave me the inspiration to do some playing around. So I added the candle sticks and the apple plate and the little apple. I think it looks better. Did I mention I also like red. Actually I add the reds and burgandies for my husbands sake. I have alot of pink, but I want him to feel at home as well, even though he doesn't say any thing.
Up close of the bunnies and the little rose plate.
This is the decoration on a cupboard in my dining room. The little rose box I found at yard sale for 50 cents. It is a lefton. I bought the apothecary jars at Kirklands, the little purple and yellow rose plate I picked up for a .25 at a yard sale. The little bunnies were also a yard sale find for a 1.00. The lamp was one of m y husbands before we were married. I actually liked it, it was one of the few things we kept of his. He is a more modern decorator, but he tolerates me. He actually is okay with it, he could care less about the house. He is a golfer, and thats what matters to him.
This is a picture that is hanging in my entry way over my entry way table. I apologize for the glare. I am not a great photographer, just a good therapist. LOL
This little cherub on a pedastal , I bought at the church sale to for 50 cents. I am going to paint the pedastal Ivory , I have a thing for Ivory and pink.........I donna know.....
This is a better view of the purple rose box I bought at the church sale the other day.
