Yard Sale finds, Fabric Scrap projects and Target haul!!

Can you believe the weekend is gone already. I am already dreading going back to work. I get so depressed on Sunday evenings.
This evenings post is all about yard sale finds and my mini projects I did with my embroidery machine. Also I posted some goodies I found at Target in their dollar bins.
I hope my friends your week is blessed.
I found all these little items at the yard sales this weekend as well. The Santa Clause salt and pepper shakers were a dollar. The little salt and pepper caddy was a dollar. the black canister was .10, it will go to my daughter. The alabaster vase was 50 cents.

This little frame was .25 cents. It was originally a gold color. My magic spray paint can turned it into this gem!!
I scored this cabinet at a yard sale this weekend for 4.oo. I have been finding good furniture for 4.o0 lately, I don't know why. It seems my yard saling goes in themes for awhile. Anyway, this cabinet has a TJ Max sticker on the bottom for 60.00 originally but when this person bought it was marked down to 49.00.
This round neck travel pillow was 2.50 at Target. I will turn into a shabby chic pillow. I never leave things the way they look originally.
This is my haul from the Target dollar bin. I don't have a little girl but I can your the pretty bows on my craft projects. I can wear the Easter Egg socks and display the little pink gloves in a basket!
I made this little pillow out of some scrap fabric I had. I try to use every piece of fabric, I don't like to waste anything.
I made this chili pepper pot holder for my daughter.

A Little Corner of My Sunroom!

My show and tell this week is one little corner of my sunroom. I took a full picture of the corner and then I broke down the corner into individual parts. . I forgot to mention that the creamy white lamp was a yard sale find for 3.00. I collected these pieces over last years yard sale season. The white wicker chair is one we bought at Lowe's. I do buy most of my furniture pieces from retail stores. If I lived by myself , I would probably have all re-purposed furniture on more of the shabby chic scale. But I love my hubby so I show him the love by compromising with the decor.

Again I am joining Cindy's Show and Tell Friday. Go over and take a look at her beautiful blog!!

I made this arrangement. It is one my favorite silk flower arrangement I have ever done. I know, I know, silk flowers are in bad taste, but I can't help myself. But I do have real flowers in my house when my garden ( or my husbands garden I should say) is in full bloom.
This is an up close picture of the quilt I made. There are alot of mistakes but its pretty good considering it was the first large quilt I made.
2.oo yard sale wreath. I love the pink roses and hydrangeas.

Yardsale, and Goodwill finds!!

Good Evening good people!!
I wanted to post some new pics, for you. I have surprised myself at how often I have been able to update my blog. Working all week limits my time. But I have found this has been good therapy for the therapist........LOL
This is my rooster I found at Goodwill for a mere 2.92. It is artist made, I love things made by real people and not manufactured!!
This is one of my finds from the community yard sale this past weekend. I don't like the color of the rooster. I think I am going to spray paint him ivory.
This is one of my good will finds,it is a candle holder. The bottom has a marking on it Blue Skys , Ontario Canada. If anyone knows anything about this company let me know. I am going to google it.

Yard Sale Finds , Goodwill finds, and Projects

Its about 12.3o pm Sunday and I need to go to bed. But I don't want to because when I wake up I have to go to work. The good news I am off on Tuesday.
One of the Communities I haunt to yard sale had their community yard sale. I posted only a few of the items I picked up. I love community sales, I usually score huge during those sales.
I hope everyone had a blessed weekend.
these little pink ear rings were 25 cents. I will use these in some sort of project. A pillow or someother craft project.
I purchased this red paisly fabric for 50 cents. It is about 3 yards of fabric. It will end up in some project along the way.
.I scored this little glitter bunnie with the pink rose for 50 cents
I bought this little bench and bunnie about a year ago for a 1.oo. I wanted to paint it white , but my hubby talked me into staining it, or rather he stained it. I know most would have covered the country heart. But I kinda of like the heart.
I found this little bird at goodwill for a 1.91.
This little blue table was 4.oo at a yard sale this weekend. I just love the color of it and it is in nice shape. So I will do absolutely nothing to it,except set my decorations on it of course!! The little yellow heart and the pink basket was both 25 cent finds
I took this second picture of the bird cage so you could see the tea cup and saucer I placed inside.
I decorated this large birdcage to display in my Sunroom. It has hydrangeas on it that I had on hand. I have had this birdcage well over a year. I don't remember what I paid for it. It is a yard sale find. It also has some cream colored silk roses on it which I scored for 25 cents this weekend.
This bicycle basket is another one of my finds this weekend. It was 2.oo. If anyone could give me an idea how to use it as a display , I would be so grateful!!
I bought this sweet little heart at a yard sale this weekend. It is very old. I love the pink satin and how it surrounds the crochet lace.

A close up of the vase and other peices.
I have been collecting these glassware peices at yardsales. Its not expensive but it is ivory with pink flowers, both my favorite colors!! I am going to embroidery some pink lace to replace those white pieces. I just have been procrastinating because I am so busy.
This some glassware in my masterbath window!! When the sun shines in the cobalt blue is so pretty!

Thrifting at CVS

I stopped by CVS on my way home from work and they had a table of marked down items. I bought all these items for 2.oo. Each item was .25 cents. Not bad for 3 pack of three dish towels, sponges and scouring pads. The dish towels are cheaply made but I can use them for something and if they wear out fast, heck they were 25 cents!!

Yard sale and Goodwill finds.

This tray was 50. cents. It has very little tarnish on it so I am thinking it is not silver. Its proably galvanize aluminum or something. There is no markings on the back.
These two cream colored stockings were 25. cents each. I will embroidery some design on them. I always look for things I can transform with my embroidery.
I went to Relay for life yard sale this past Saturday and found this heart box with the note cards. It was marked for 3.00 but when I went to pay I had about six other items and she only charged me 4.00. There was a smaller one there but I didn't take it because it was marked for 2.00. Had I known she would give me a bargain I would have gotten that one too. I guess that sounds pretty greedy. Really I am a generous person. I give as much as I get.
I love this little bunny pillow! It was a yard sale find for .50 cents. It matches the decor in my living room. I plan to use him even after Easter.
This isa twin bedskirt. I am going to repurpose it for a skirt for my wicker sofa in the sunroom. It will hide my decorative boxes that hold my crafting supplies. I found it for 3.00 at a little thrift store down the street from me. I bet you thought I was gonna say Goodwill , didn't ya??
I collect sheets with Roses on them!! I use them sometimes for other things rather than sheets, some I use as sheets. I found these at Goodwill for 3.92.
A white eyelet lace pillow case for .99 cents. You gotta love Goodwill!
These are Martha Stewart curtains I found at Goodwill a week ago. They were a mere 2.92. I am going to hang them on my Sun Room Sliding Glass door. I think they will fit. I am spring up the Sun Room. I am looking for a shabby chic computer desk and white desk for my sewing machine. My sunroom is also my studio.
This is a little easter decoration that was 25 cents. I could not pass it up. It was a bunny and it was pink. Nuff said.
This is an up close picture of the bowl.

I scored this little baby at a yard sale this past Saturday for a mere 2.00. It is about 10 inces tall and the bowl is about 14 inches wide. It is two pieces the pedastal detaches from the bowl. If anyone knows what this milk glass piece is to be used for please let me know. But I can imagine all sorts of creative uses for it, especially at Christmas time. I almost missed it, it was buried in a box under a table. I have to remember to dig in the boxes at yard sales. I generally do not take the time.

The other end of the dining room table.
One end of the dining room table.

I decorated my dining room table for Easter. I made the beaded easter eggs. Don't you just love hot glue guns. The big yellow and green eggs I bought at a yard sale. If you notice I used the blue table runner I embroidered.

Embroidery Project, yard sale finds, Goodwill finds

Hello everyone, tommorrow is Sunday and thus will begin my love/hate relationship with it all day. The day seems to fly by and then I wake up and it is Monday Morning, UGH.
I put a mixture of my own projects , yard sale and Goodwill finds. I hope you enjoy looking at them.
Thrifting is one of my favorite hobbies. I rarely buy anything brand new and if I do its usally clothes.
I will try to post my easter eggs I am working on tommorrow night. Along with my easter decorations.
Tiny ceramic ballerina shoes. I found them at a yard sale for 10 cents!!
I found this little blue and white toile purse at Goodwill for 3,29. Isn't it precious. I think someone hand made it vs it being store bought. I couldn't resist.
I found this beautiful embroidered purse at the church sale I went to last Friday. It was only 50 cents. Even though I embroider I appreciate items that already are embroidered. I thought this purse was just so lovely.
This is the runner spread out on the floor. I plan to use this on my dining table for easter!
This is the center of the runner. I don't know whose designs I used, if this is one of your designs let me know and I will give you credit for your embroidery designs.
This is a blue table runner I embroidered. This the ends of it, both ends are embroidered like this.
This is a up close picture of the entry table. I am not happy with how this vignette looks, so I am going to try to tweak when I figure out a plan.
This is a picture of my entry table, it has a vintage grape theme. The pitcher and plate a neighbor gave me before he moved. I found the glass bowl the grapes are in at Goodwill, for 6.00. The bunnies were a yard sale find last year sometime, I don't remember how much, but I know I would not have paid more than a buck.
